GastroMatters is a specialist dietetic service focused on digestive health. I provide evidence-based advice to help people manage conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux, coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and other gastrointestinal concerns.

Getting started is simple. Head over to the Work With Me section of the website to explore the packages that I offer and find the option that best suits your needs. Once you’ve chosen a package, email me to get started or to ask any questions you may have.
If you’re unsure which package is right for you, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute introductory consultation. This gives us the opportunity to discuss your goals, answer your questions and help you decide on the most appropriate service.

A free 15-minute introductory consultation can be booked to discuss your symptoms, answer any questions you may have and to determine whether GastroMatters is the right fit for your needs. This is an opportunity to learn more about our services before committing to a full assessment. Please note that this consultation is not intended to provide individualised dietary advice or a diagnosis.
-
No. You can book an appointment directly without a GP referral.
-
All consultations are delivered online via secure video consultation. This allows you to access specialist dietetic support from the comfort of your own home. Online consultations provide the same personalised, evidence-based care as traditional face-to-face appointments, with the added convenience of avoiding travel and fitting appointments around your schedule.
-
Your initial consultation is a comprehensive assessment of your digestive health. We will discuss your symptoms, medical history, medications, diet, lifestyle and any relevant investigations or test results. Together, we will develop a personalised nutrition plan tailored to your goals and symptoms.
-
Initial consultations typically last 60 minutes, allowing enough time to understand your concerns.
-
Follow-up appointments last 45 minutes. These sessions focus on reviewing progress, adjusting your plan, answering questions and helping you overcome any challenges.
-
Not necessarily. The Low FODMAP Diet is an effective treatment for some people with IBS, but it is not appropriate for everyone. I only recommend it when clinically suitable and guide you through each phase to ensure your diet remains nutritionally balanced.
-
Many clients come to GastroMatters after trying multiple diets or receiving conflicting advice. I take a structured, evidence-based approach to identify the factors contributing to your symptoms and develop a realistic, personalised plan.
-
Usually not. My goal is to help you enjoy food while managing your symptoms. I focus on making the least restrictive dietary changes needed to achieve meaningful improvements.
-
This depends on your condition and goals. Some clients only require one or two appointments, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months.
-
No. Dietitians do not diagnose medical conditions. If your symptoms require further investigation, I will advise you to speak to your GP or consultant. Once diagnosis has been made, or where dietetic support is appropriate I can help you manage your condition through nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
-
